Why is timber cladding a good option?

Cladding means attaching a material to the exterior of your house so as to enhance its beauty. Timber cladding is increasingly becoming a good option because of the fact that timber is beautiful. But that is not the only option of timber cladding. Timber is lightweight and other than offering protection it also allows for various decorative designs. It also reduces the overall foundation cost of the building. Also timber has good insulation and thermal properties.

Timber claddings are easier to repair. You can have a number of choices regarding hardwood or softwood. There are a number of textures and patterns to choose from.

Floating Forest lets you soak in the beauty of the English Arcadia

Created specifically for the waterways of London’s East End, the floating Bowered Glade and the traveling Root Lounge are a part of the quirky botanical water vessels called Floating Forest. The imaginative design is the collaborative effort of designers Pablo Milara, Friedrich Vitzthum and Alex Haw, the grass and wood vessels provide visitors with a sensual experience of traveling through water on floating mounds covered with vegetation.

Vanilla Lip Gloss

Pure vanilla extract gives this vanilla lip gloss a lovely scent and caramel color, not to mention a delicious flavor. Coconut oil, beeswax and vitamin E oil preserve lips by providing a protective layer that conditions and locks in moisture. MAKES 1 1/2 OUNCES

• 1 tablespoon grated beeswax• 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil• 1/8 teaspoon vitamin E oil• 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1. Place beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E oil in an ovenproof container.

2. Heat gently until wax and oils are melted.

3. Stir in vanilla extract and mix well.

4. Pour mixture into a clean container and cool completely.

I failed miserably in my mothering today. Everything from getting coats and shoes on, to going potty in underwear, to getting out of bed before the proper time. Each situation was responded to with an outburst of anger and frustration.

Habanero Pepper Seed Question

I’ve noticed on some of the habanero peppers we have harvested, that when we cut the fruit open, some of the seeds are black. Do you know what is causing this, and are they still edible? Cindy.

Answer: Well this took a little research and deferring to a pepper expert. Apparently habaneros have a tendency for development of a mold. His comment was, “If squeamish, then avoid them. If you are processing further, like cooking, then they are harmless.”

So, depending on how rampant the infection, you might be able to salvage parts of your harvest.

The previous dry season is the culprit.

This is a unique ricotta salata salad that uses herbs instead of salad greens. It has gotten a few skeptical looks, but once tasted, it becomes a favorite for guests. Ricotta salata is a pressed, salted version of ricotta that can be shaved or grated.

• 1 shallot, peeled and thinly sliced• 1 tablespoon tarragon vinegar or white balsamic vinegar• 2 cups red grapes, sliced lengthwise• 1/3 cup fresh tarragon leaves• 3 ounces ricotta salata cheese• 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil• Freshly ground black pepper

Grande Ligne is one of those dirt roads in the middle of nowhere that are so characteristic of the Eastern Townships. Offering views of fields and farms and rolling hills in every direction, it runs through the rural community of Racine. It’s a drive that Albert Jordan and Elaine Cadotte never tire of, even although they’ve lived on Grande Ligne for over 30 years.
